PROFILE
Anirudh Gotety practices Indian civil and commercial litigation, international arbitration, and commercial and regulatory advisory. With extensive experience in India, he has also worked with leading arbitration practices in the United States and Singapore in complex cross-border arbitrations. He brings to his disputes practice the perspective of a former M&A and Private Equity lawyer, allowing him to approach commercial disputes with transactional insight.
At Three Crowns and Hughes Hubbard & Reed in Singapore and Washington DC, Anirudh worked on arbitrations under SIAC, HKIAC, and LCIA rules, including on matters involving the infrastructure, energy, and aerospace industries.
In India, Anirudh has appeared before the Supreme Court, Delhi High Court, district courts, and tribunals such as the NCLT, NCLAT, APTEL, and NCDRC, and has acted in ad-hoc and international institutional arbitrations with Keystone Partners on complex multi-million dollar disputes. He has also been credited by the Supreme Court of India for arguments in reported judgments. He started his career at Luthra and Luthra Law Offices where he advised on large M&A transactions, including ArcelorMittal-Nippon Steel’s US$5.8 billion acquisition of Essar Steel.

$50mn LCIA arbitration: represented one of India’s largest e-commerce companies against the seller of a recently acquired company for breach of representations under a share purchase agreement.
US$5 billion SIAC arbitration: assisted in the representation of a consortium member in a payment and extension-of-time dispute arising from a mega infrastructure project in Southeast Asia.
$150mn HKIAC arbitration: assisted in the representation of an aerospace equipment supplier in a wrongful termination dispute.
LCIA proceedings: advised a contractor on payment and performance claims arising from a power plant construction dispute.
$100mn HKIAC emergency arbitration: assisted in the representation of a Cayman Islands company in relation to breaches of a shareholders’ agreement.
